Lemon ginger tea is soothing infusion of fresh ginger and lemon, lightly sweetened  with honey. This super healthy detox tea without tea leaves makes a perfect caffeine free drink for children and grownups.

Back in 2010, while our visit to beautiful city of Srinagar in Kashmir, I first tasted lemon ginger tea. Perched on Kralsangri hill that captures finest panoramic view of the Dal Lake, surrounded by majesty of Zabarwan Mountains, our stay at Taj Vivant was memorable. Egg Bhurji {Indian scrambled eggs}

Indian scrambled eggs or egg bhurji is a spicy, mouth watering spin on the scrambled eggs. Healthy and nutritious eggs, cooked in caramelized onions, scallions, hot chili peppers, tomatoes, ginger, garlic and a variation of spices and garnished with cilantro or scallions or both!

In many Indian cities, road-side stalls serving hot egg bhurji with soft buns drenched in butter is a common site. It is a very popular street food, that I never had a chance to try. Chana Saag {chickpeas and spinach spiced with garam masala}

Chana Saag is a classic Indian curry made with chickpeas, loads of spinach, onion, tomato, ginger, garlic and spiced with homemade garam masala.
