  • 1 lb brussels sprouts
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 garlic cloves sliced

Optional toppings

  • Trim the thick bottom stem and then cut each brussels sprout into half. Soak in cold water for 10 minutes. Drain all the water and gently dab excess moisture with paper towels. No need to fully dry them. Add olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss well. Preheat the air fryer at 360 F
  • Add the brussels sprouts to the preheated air fryer and cook at 360 for 8 minutes. Gently shake the basket.
  • Add the sliced garlic and mix them with the brussels sprouts. Air fry for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Take out the brussels sprouts in a serving bowl and drizzle with balsamic vinegar or glaze. Top with pomegranate seeds

Balsamic glaze is found in many stores including Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and Italian Specialty Stores. But check with your local grocer too! You can make your own glaze at home by reducing balsamic vinegar and a bit of sugar on the stovetop. There are plenty of recipes online for the homemade glaze.
  1. Garlic powder can be used instead of fresh garlic. Simply add 1 teaspoon along with salt & pepper
  2. Sprinkle some parmesan cheese in the end
  3. Use frozen brussels sprouts. Frozen brussels sprouts don’t need to be halved or soaked. Add frozen to the air fryer and cook for 12 mins. Take them out and toss them in oil, salt, pepper, and garlic and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
