This creamy nutty Pistachio latte is made with pistachio paste, steamed milk, a shot of espresso, and sweetened with condensed milk. I like steamy hot unsweetened almond milk, but you can use oat, soy, or dairy milk. Be your own Barista and make this perfect cafe drink at home in less than 10 minutes.

My husband loves latte and so I thought why not try a delicious homemade version to surprise him this fathers day. It needs a few simple ingredients, takes no time, and is so much cheaper to make at home!

    What is Latte

Latte or Cafe Latte is simply steamed frothy milk poured over a hot espresso shot. This Pistachio Latte is inspired by the Pistachio lattes we have enjoyed over the years at different cafes including Starbucks. If you love the nutty-creamy Pistachio flavor as much as I do, you have to try this easy recipe to see how AMAZING it tastes!!

    Ingredients

    • Pistachio Paste - The Pistachio paste is just pistachios and has no added ingredients for that nutty indulgent pistachio flavor. I have also tried the recipe with pistachio butter and both work equally well.
    • Condensed Milk - For the perfect sweetness, add more or less to get the desired taste. For a dairy-free version use, coconut condensed milk
    • Almond Milk - I recommend Whole Foods brand unsweetened almond milk - It has the natural taste of almonds, perfect creaminess, and is priced well. Feel free to use milk to choice
    • Espresso Shot - I use a Nespresso machine to brew the espresso shot

    Serving

I love to serve Pistachio latte for breakfast, brunch, afternoon pick me up, or with a dessert after dinner. Here are some foods that pair well with it:

    • Avocado toast with egg
    • Egg bhurji
    • Poha
    • Upma
    • Banana Bread
    • Almond Flour Brownies

    Tips & Substitutions

    • Pistachio Paste works great for this recipe, but you can also use pistachio butter from a good brand. I like to add 1 tablespoon of pistachio paste per 6 oz of milk, but you can add more for a nuttier taste
    • You can make this latte vegan by using dairy-free milk and condensed milk
    • Add 2 shots of espresso for a stronger coffee
    • Add more or less condensed milk or change it to your choice of sweetener
